Cookie policy
Clear information on the technologies currently used by Laboratory Bilbao and how this policy will change if non-essential tools are introduced in the future.
Review version: August 2026
1. Current position
Laboratory Bilbao does not currently include audience-analytics tools, behavioural advertising, commercial profiling or tracking pixels. It also does not automatically load third-party maps, videos or widgets when a page opens.
Language is selected through the URL of the relevant language version, so the website does not need a personalisation cookie to remember that choice.
2. Technical cookies
Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a requested function, maintain security or operate the service may be exempt from consent when the legal requirements are met. The code published by Laboratory Bilbao does not add non-essential cookies.
The hosting or security provider may use technical elements that are essential to provide the service. If so, their purpose is technical rather than advertising-related.
3. External links and services
External links, including WhatsApp, open only when the user chooses to click them. From that point, the external provider’s own terms and privacy rules also apply. Laboratory Bilbao does not load WhatsApp or Meta within the website before that action.
4. If the website changes
If audience measurement, maps, videos, chat, advertising or other non-essential technologies requiring consent are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and the appropriate consent mechanism will be implemented before those technologies are activated.
5. Browser controls
Your browser lets you review, block or delete cookies and website data. The exact route depends on the browser and device you use.
6. Law and review
This policy is interpreted in accordance with article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI, the GDPR, Spanish data-protection law and the current guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
